Love and Lost

By: Crimefighter

Sometimes I wish that God would be merciful
Sometimes I ask for the impossible
Most of the time I settle for the simplest
Most of the time I get stunned with the results

Sometimes I watch the sun go down
Sometimes I watch the moon go round
I always thank God for what He has done
And I wait for the next battle to be done

I have some time to say I love you
I have some feeling I would like to share
There are things that Pictures cannot tell
And dreams that cannot be described

I am a prisoner in my own home
Not that I want to be free from the torment
But that I may have some company
And such beauty may be seen by my eye

My mind is made up that God loves me
Better than that He has a plan for me
If I may be of service I would gladly go
If I am done I would gladly go home

I whisper in the night as my eyes close tight
Wondering if the night will be the fight of my life
I think and the darkness opens its claws
Taking swings at my open mind taking flight

I say my prayers and send for sleep
Making haste for the tower to fight
I have my helmet and my sword
Quickly loosing armor from the blast

I awake to find my body aching
Sore from struggle and the stretching
Finding breathe and strength to continue
I look and behold my Princess waiting
Alexandra, how long have you been there?
